Level IV Logistics Analyst - Technical Lead

What are the limits of innovation and exploration? How do we continue to evolve as a species?

SUMMARY: This position will work on-site at our headquarters in Houston, Texas and will be primarily focused on Ground & Mission Logistics, Integration and Operations tools, processes, and analysis. This role will also encompass all phases of the space systems development process from concept to design/development to operations, sustaining and disposal.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain logistics ground operations strategy, tools, analysis, practices, and processes to support the product lifecycle from inception to disposal 

• Interface and integrate with adjacent organizations and subsystem teams for logistics planning, integration, operations. and maintenance

• Development of the logistics ground operations work instructions, procedures, and traceability to support all phases of the product lifecycle (example: inventory management, hardware allocation, work authorization document generation and management, task preparation sheets, production planning, manifest coordination, maintenance planning, and support, etc)

• Development, management, maintain and provide training for the inventory management system

• Development and integration of stakeholder priorities and processes for utilization and execution of the inventory management system

• Support and develop ground and mission operations logistics plan and practices to ensure alignment and supportability with the Integrated Master Schedule, Procurement needs, and Training and Flight Operation needs, inclusive of crew/vehicle/cargo/manifest launch, training and flight support needs. 

• Conduct and support logistics training, operations and flight readiness review events 

• Collaborate with adjacent teams, and customers for logistics planning, scheduling, and execution

• Lead and develop logistics initiatives and process improvements across the adjacent organizations 

• Report and present on logistics status, readiness, metrics, challenges and improvements at milestone reviews, boards, and panels

• Perform other logistics related tasks as necessary

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant years of experience
  • 10-15 year of direct experience in spaceflight logistics, including strategy development, planning, and execution.
  • A broad background in space systems ground operations and support
  • Experience with development and execution of logistics tools is desirable.
  • Effective in working in a start-up environment with the ability to lead, drive, and implement tactical change.
  • A strong attention to detail while appreciating the bigger picture of the complex and ambitious projects that we take on.
  • Demonstrated leadership and extensive collaboration skills are a must.
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills with experience communicating to senior decision-makers and technical audiences.
  • Effective in small teamwork environment with broad responsibilities and minimal oversight.


Essential Functions

Work Environment: Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.

Requirements 

• Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.

• Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised.

 Physical Requirements

• Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
