SUMMARY: The Senior Desktop Support will provide agile, innovative, and trusted information technology solution. Works across a broad range of technologies and liaises across multiple areas of the business to support incidents, problems, and request.  Desktop Support Specialist will be responsible for answering IT request via phone, email, live chat, or instant message and explaining solutions in technical and nontechnical terms.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide technical assistance, support and solutions for incoming help desk tickets and issues related to computers systems, peripherals, printers, scanners, hardware and/or software

• Provide IT assistance for operating systems, productivity software, and a variety of other software applications used internally 

• VPN installation, deployment and troubleshooting

• Manage video conferencing and virtual phones (TEAMS or Zoom)

• Initial point of contact for all computer and system related concerns from internal stakeholders 

• Assist with Onboarding and offboarding employees

• Configure and secure wipe laptop and desktop computers

• Office 365 and Active Directory administration

• Additional duties as assigned

Education & Experience

• 15 + years technical experience

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science

• CompTIA A+ or equivalent desired 

• Must have firm grasp of basic networking concepts 

• Knowledge of MS Window 10, MacOS, Office 365, Active Directory

• Adeptness in basic troubleshooting

• Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectively

Essential Functions

Work Environment: Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.

Requirements 

• Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.

• Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised.

• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.

 Physical Requirements

• Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
