SUMMARY: The Paralegal will perform diversified administrative duties for the Corporate Legal, Contracts and Procurement team including but not limited to written and verbal correspondence, meeting and calendar management, supplier setup, record management and retention and other related duties as required for department efficiency.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the day-to-day administrative duties for Legal, Contracts and Procurement

• Organize files and databases for easier use by the department

• Maintain registrations and other corporate records for broad company utilization

• Proofreading and formatting legal documents, processes and procedure

• Provide department reports as required; will use advanced knowledge in Excel to include advanced formulas, embedded graphs, and pivot tables, to provide data to Leadership

• Maintain Export screening process, records and technical library

• Additional job duties as assigned

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma required

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred

• At least 3 years office administrative experience

• Minimum typing speed of 60 wpm

• Experience in aerospace industry preferred

• Costpoint experience a plus

• Preference given to candidates with demonstrated record of work at a start-up

Essential Functions

Work Environment: Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.

Requirements 

• Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.

• Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised.

• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.

 Physical Requirements

• Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).

• Equipment and Machines

• Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).

Skills

• Highly organized and detail oriented; able to juggle, prioritize, and keep track of multiple tasks and projects

• Proficient in Microsoft office tools including Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point and able to quickly learn new software tools

• Ability to multi-task, work independently with minimal supervision, and make and communicate the rationale behind key decisions in a constantly evolving fast-pace work environment

• Strong project and time management skills with a high level of intuition and judgment

• Must have a “can do” attitude – no job is too big or small, problem solver

• Ability to take on ownership of projects ad hoc and drive them from beginning to end
